Temple Kol Tikvah, 605 South St, Davidson, NC 28036, USA

About the event

Judy LaPietra is an esteemed Holocaust educator with over 30 years of

study and experience.

The Holocaust is remembered for the Nazi regime’s brutal targeting of Jews, but other groups — including those accused of homosexuality — were also persecuted, silenced, and stigmatized. This presentation explores how homosexuality was criminalized under Nazi rule, the realities of those imprisoned and marked with the pink triangle, and the ways in which homosexual men and women were forced into secrecy and erased from memory.

Light refreshment will be provided.
