This holiday representing the harvest festival follows on the heels of Yom Kippur. The congregation builds a sukkah which the students decorate and while doing so learn about the meaning of Sukkot. They learn this festival is not only the harvest season, but also symbolizes the time when the children of Israel were wondering in the desert for 40 years living in booths (sukkot) and how God took care of them in that time.
