Rosh Hashanah

The students learned about the Jewish New Year - Rosh Hashanah. They made candied apples with our Jewish Cooking Specialist, Karen Malar, to represent the honey and apples that Jews traditionally eat for a sweet new year.  They all learned about the meaning of this day through stories, singing, arts and crafts, and how this wonderful start of the Jewish year leads up to the holiest holiday of all - Yom Kippur. This is the day of fasting and complete reconciliation with God.
